I am not sure this is the right forum for this question. But I am new to home repair. I bought new bathroom hardware..towel bars.. etc. The old ones and new ones have anchor screws.. How do I remove the old ones...without damaging my wall? My new hardware does not line up with the old. Thanks for any help.

If you have plastic anchors pull them out with long nose pliers.
If you have molly wall anchors tap the front (flange) into the wall 1/8 inch and patch.

Good Luck!

Solutions, Thanks for your help. They were definitely not plastic..and I have no idea what molly's are but I banged them into the wall and patched, I am certain this is the original hardware and since my home is over 20 years old it made sense to me. It worked great! Debbi
