Unhappy Ceramic tissue holder in wall

Child karate kicked it off the wall. The holder is not broken, however it is no longer connected. Appears to have been installed with what looks like plaster of paris? Not sure. The wall itself is drywall and that section was cut out for installation of the holder. The plaster substance doesnt appear to be damaged. How on earth would I reconnect it to the wall? Help, before the landlord comes to visit!!

Clean it off and reinstall. They may have used joint compound or tile grout to hold it originally. I have also used construction adhesive such as liquid nails when reattaching.
