2018 Tax Tables?

Is it just me, or are the 2018 tax tables not yet available? I searched IRS.gov, clicked on "current year", and the 2017 tables pop up.

My memory is a little fuzzy but seems like the new tax info doesn't come out until the latter part of January.

Could be the case. I didn't realize they waited that long to release them.

I'm kinda eager to see what happens this year too. With the new federal tax breaks in place. We normally get about $300 back because I like to over pay during the year to ensure there are no surprises. But at this point, I am kinda lost not knowing what is owed this year. I'd like to be surprised & see $4000 this year but... I aint holding my breath for that.. lol

I got the 2018 software a few weeks ago loaded and updated, just waiting for all the numbers to come in so it's out there!

I see it now. Was just published last week apparently.

Now why the hell can't I find form 1040 from 2017 on the IRS website or anywhere else?! I need to look at something. All I can find is instructions and form 1040-x (amended return).

Those are the instructions. I want only the form 1040 from 2017. Can't seem to find it anywhere. I can only find the amended version (1040-x). Not a big deal. Just wondering why the heck it isn't available when every other year dating back to 1916 is.

From the main About Form 1040 page, you have to click a link on the left side for "prior year" to get to it.

Thanks. I tried that yesterday and it still didn't show up in the search results. I appreciate it!

I see now. I wasn't looking down the page far enough. I was clicking on prior year, then doing a search on "Form 1040 (2017)", which by the way yields over 1500 results, and Form 1040 2017 is not on the first results page (or the 2nd, 3rd, 4th). I have what I need now.
