Furballs

I have 2 cats and I can't tell which one is spitting up hair balls. I know they eat a food that is l/2 hairball formula and the other 1/2 is a mix from Purina that has some outside "greens" in it. They don't like either food enough to eat them alone, but will eat them if I mix it up. I have tried giving them pumpkin to add fiber but that hasn't helped, only makes what they spit up more orange. They are brushed and kept tidy. Any suggestions will be helpful because I seem to be cleaning up a mess at least once a week.

Ideas: more brushing, a bit of vegetable oil weekly, a commercial product such as Petromalt Hairball Remedy. When I had a cat with hairball problems, I would give it a bit of vegetable oil each week. Just pour some into a teaspoon and let it eat it. Catnip grass might help with the fiber. Treating both won't hurt the one without the problem.

Thank you SO much. Of course, since I wrote in-no hairballs. I'll try the veg oil. I was trying to give them a bit of tuna in oil, thinking that might help. They wouldn't touch -seems they prefer tuna in water. Well' try that veg oil. I think my cats may be "slower" than some. They don't seem to care for catnip, unless I am not using it right.
Thanks again!
