Help please cat problem drooling
My cat has something wrong with her mouth I think Im gonna try to take her to the vet tommorrow (all depends if I can afford it) but I noticed it about a week ago. Squirt (cat's name) when she meows I noticed her tongue over to one side of her mouth and shes been drooling like mad. I gave her some amoxicillian for a week and it didnt work. If any1 has any idea of what would be causing this pleeeeease let me know. Panicing
Thanks lori

I have to agree that a plant poisoning may be the cause of the drooling and tongue issue in your kitty. If you have a Diffenbachia, they are also called Dumb Cane because they actually partially paralize the mouth, and can be deadly due to the neurotoxins the plant has in it's leaves.
Another thing also comes to mind, from experience...she may have either an abscessed tooth, or possibly a small foreign body has imbedded itself into her mouth somewhere.
Cats often eat things they should not, plants, bones and the likes. If she has had access to any bones, such as chicken or fish bones, it may be that she has a tiny piece that has penetrated and is infected.
Do take her to the vet ASAP to have her checked out. If finances are an issue, most cities these days have animal welfare groups that will assist in the cost of treatments, and often the vet clinic itself will work with you in this situation.
Please keep us posted to her progress.
