We have an older cat (14) had her since she was a kitten. She uses the litter box however when we moved into our house she started to pee on the basement rec-room carpet. I cleaned and cleaned the carpet which made the matter worse. I used an enzyme based cleaner. I think the prior owners had animals. We have since tore out the carpet and underpad. She now goes pee beside her litter box, even when it is clean right on the cement floor. Question is we have new carpet that i havnt installed yet, do you think she will go back there if we lay it down? Any solutions? Or is this a behavioural problem. Hubby says toss her outside, I cant do this shes 14 and deaf, I dont feel that this would be fair nor safe for her. Thanks

We have had a new puppy for 2 weeks and we have a 10 yr old dog. Just in the last couple of days, if the older dog is near the puppy when we are getting the food out or beginning to feed her, the puppy goes after the bigger dog. Any suggestions?
