Birds

Ok My cats knocked down my bird cage with 2 parakets in it the cage fell apart and the birds got out. Luckly I got to them before the cats did.And these birds bite (ouch) cause there scared. It hurts but they can't take a finger off. Not like a parrete.Any way in the process of grabbing one of the birds I ripped out his tail (the long feathers) He/she seams fine. Will it grow back.Theres no blood and the bird does not seam in pain. This cage fell from the top off a 1 story book case.

EDIT....These birds can't fly cause they been in the cage there whole life. They can fly but not that well they fly into things and bumb into things.

Glad to know that everyone is safe and in one piece! The feathers will grow back, but it may take a while. They probably won't grow back until the next molt.

Thankfully there was no loss of blood, but even a small loss of blood in a bird can be dangerous and a visit to a vet would be necessary at that point.
