Oster Turbo A5 Clipper Problem

I did this about a year ago with no problem but I'll be darned if I can do it today, must have been lucky. I took off the size 10 blade, no problem. Trying to install the 5/8 and it will not go on. Try to install the 10 and it won't go either after an hour of trying.

Directions say:

Turn motor on; insert blade on tongue fully then snap the blade into place.

I don't know, neither will 'snap' on. Any ideas?

Thanks

Baldwin,

My best guess, and I _used_ to be good with clippers...is that you've got something just slightly off kilter and things won't line up properly to *snap* on. If you don't manage to get it sorted yourself, you might want to take the set to a local groomer, or repair shop that works on clippers. Most often they have a knack for this sort of thing.

Hope you get it sorted out...if you learn of a trick to it, please do post us to let us know. Sorry my comments may not be of much help, but it is hard to tell, without having them in front of me.

I feel so stupid. When you remove the blade you have to pull it up to about a 45° angle, (which I didn't do) then the spring-loaded tongue will stay up. Slide the blade off, slide the new one on and snap it back down in place. Takes 2 seconds.

Big spring on the tongue, you have to use a screw driver to pry it back up.

Thanks
