Flirty,
Time, patience and a GOOD squirt bottle filled with water is the best remedy for this sort of thing. By good squirt bottle, I mean a professional style that has an adjustable spray, and stays primed, so you don't have to pump it before water comes out. You can get one at a cleaning supply store, most are less than $10.
When they start getting serious then use the squirt bottle.
Otherwise, as I said in my earlier post. Let them sort it out. It takes time, sometimes a lot of time. And sometimes they just won't get along properly. In that case, as long as they aren't at each other all the time, they will find their areas of the house, and eventually settle in.
We have a cat (mentioned before) that we took in to save from being sent to the shelter. She is still picked on, but, not as often, and slowly but surely the pecking order is settling down.
Do keep us posted and just remember to give it some more time. It should sort out.
