Dog eating from cat box- please help!
OK, this is the grossest thing I can imagine, but our black lab/border collie mix has taken to raiding the cat's litter box for, shall we say, "Tootsie Rolls". I clean the cat box daily, but she will root for them every chance she gets.
Why is she doing this? How can I make her stop? Our whole family is disgusted with this.
Thanks,
Andy

Only good solution I have found is to move the litter box out of the dogs reach. I've had the same problem. Animals will be animals. I suppose you could build some sort of enclosure that lets your cat in, but too small for the lab mix (tunnel?). Good luck!

Andrew,
It is actually something most dogs, given the chance will do. I decided I couldn't deal with it, and we now have all covered cat boxes. The dogs for the most part can't reach in and get the *Kitty Krunchies* from the covered boxes.
Here is more information on the bad habit:

We have a dog that insists on still trying to get into the boxes, but thankfully her head is just too big.

Thank you for the replies. I have moved the cat box (which is covered) onto a utility table in the basement. Cat has no problem, but dog can't get it. Perfect!
