My two are just mutts.
One was found chained to a tree with a 6' chain, no food or water bowl, and had 13 puppy's.
She's super smart and does anything I ask her to do.
Gets alone with everyone, and anything.
I've seen her play with deer fawns, cats, other dogs.
But let a sqareel, mole or vole catch her scent and she's on it.

Ramzi was a lab rescue off a client of mine who runs the local chapter. Caught wind of a litter of chocolate lab pups when I went over to do an estimate on a custom mantel for a stone fireplace. Mentioned it in passing to the wife and the writing was on the wall. Wife and two kids went over every day at 7pm to exercise the pups for an hour. This litter of lab pups had more human contact before they were weened than possibly any litter ever. He is the most fun loving big baby you would ever want in a dog. We are blessed. My neighbor, who has the lab from hell, not so blessed.

Hey Joe, mutts are still photogenic aren't they? Would love to get a glimpse of some drool ready to play.

Molly - what a cutie, better not share that provocative pic with Ramzi,

Only thing about Molly, is in the middle of the night she sneaks on the bed. She doesn't understand parallel and perpendicular, yet.

Well I have a few "pets" but the boy I have with me now is being trained to be my Mobility/Balance Service Dog. He's a 7 month old Newfoundland Landseer. His name is Kyrie or Ky for short. Once he's trained a bit more, my other Service Dog, Little Bit, will be joining us. She's only 3 1/2 pounds so I have to be sure Ky is calm enough not to try to play too hard with her. So until then she's with my ex.Name: Picture3 018.jpg

I also have 4 ChiChi's and a few cats. The cats are almost all rescues, except for my Persian Was X (yes his name is Was).

Dogs are tremendous just being dogs, but a fully trained service dog is a wonder to behold and they really enjoy their job. Maybe someday, but the pets I have now do a fairly good job at filling in for my bad ears.

Riley

Nice little dog I got from a rescue 3 years ago. Excellent dog except for the nose prints he leaves on my truck windows.
