Sand in Digital Camera

I was down taking some shots at the beach recently. I think some sand has gotten into the moveable lenses of my Canon A75, because I can hear a sort of grinding noise when I focus or the lens moves out when the camera is turned on. Also there is a black spot on left top side of the picture when I take a close shot. Is there any way of cleaning this area (ie through unscrewing the lens)? Its not under warranty now, but would the company be able to open in if I couldnt?

There must be SOME way of doing maintenance on it or even replacing the lens etc, but it isnt immediately apparent.

I would suggest that you take the camera to a place that repairs Canon digital cameras.
Digi cams are quite intricate and you must know what you are doing when going inside.
