How do I rent out my camera

I had purchased a JVC HD 110 for a film project I was working on over the fall. The project is over and I don't have the time to use it. Talking with a friend, who is in this industry, he had informed me that my camera was renting out at around $150- $200 a day. Where should I post this information for prospective renters? Is there a high demand for rentals? What kind of insurance should i have on the camera? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jimmy

Jimmy,

I think that if you have no future use for the camera and it has paid for itself already you may do well by renting it.

Insurance for use in renting out the camera might be cost prohibitive however.
I had insurance on commercial use tools and the annual rate was a bit more than 10% of the value and that was for my use, not a rental.
I know that some rental companies when you pay extra for insurance underwrite this themselves.
Pass this by your home insurance company and see what they say.

I would think that if you no longer need it selling might make more sense.
