Camera Tripod Leg slips

I have a camera tripod with one leg that slips even when you tighten the clutch on it. Is there a cure or is this a "throw away" condition.

What make and model is it?

It is kinda hard to say without seeing it.
Does it tighten by turning a collar that clamps on a round leg or a lever that clamps down on a somewhat squarish leg?

I have an inexpensive lever type clamp tripod that slips but it is not worth trying to repair.
I would suspect yours is a light duty type as the pro ones don't usually do this.

If worth less than about sixty dollars it will be disposable.

Not sure what to suggest without seeing it.

One type I am familiar with has split fingers around the top of the tube and the collar that screws down tightens these fingers against the leg.
You could try with a pair of needle nose pliers to put a very small kink in the fingers.

If you can take a clear macro picture and post in on a free host like photo bucket we may be able to offer more.
Just provide a link to the picture.
