Kodak disc camera

Does anyone remember the old Kodak disc? The film was a disc you loaded up and took your pics. Then you sent the disc in for developing. Can you get new pictures made from the old disc negatives? I found some old negs in my fathers stuff and would like to get pictures made from them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, there are many places to have this done.
You can search the term "KODAK DISC FILM REPRINTS" for an online source or hit the telephone book for someone more local.

Possible, but you may need to do some hunting for someplace that can handle it. I think the negative size was 110 if I remember right. You might even try scanning them on a scanner and seeing if they can be done through Photoshop, although that's a pretty small negative to have to work with.

Thanks for the info. I should have just did the old "Google It" ! I did notice that the negs are very small. I figured they could just pop it into a machine and get prints from it.

Yeah, that neg size will make printing anything bigger than standard print size pretty iffy and even those will have fairly low res.

The image size for disk film is smaller than for "110" film.

If you have a flatbed scanner that takes slides and negatives then you can actually scan disk film in much the same fashion as 35mm film although the scanner's automatic frame recognition might not work and also you would also have to rotate the disk and rescan for each negative not at 0, 90, 180, or 270 degrees.

Digital point and shoot cameras have sensors roughly the same size as disk film frames, sometimes even smaller. This goes to show how much better the glass (lenses) have evolved over the years.
