Binocular Question

The right eye adjusting ring is seized on my Alpen 8x42. Do I dare lubricate this with Tri-Flo?

Tri Flo is a brand that markets several lubricants and not familiar to everyone.
If what you are referring to is a light machine oil some seals and certain types of rubber will deteriorate with oil.
You might be better off trying to lubricate with a silicone based lubricant.
It is usually only available as a spray but you can spray some in a small cup and apply a drop or two with a thin straw.

Got it unseized with channel locks, then lubed with silicone. I can be turned, but is still pretty stiff. The Tri Flo that I use is a teflon product.
