Trail/Wildlife camera

Looking for a trail camera to give as a gift to grandchildren to use near their house. WiFi capability might be desirable. Solar or battery?

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Most trail cameras these days are relatively good. First, wifi consumes a lot of battery power so you need to figure that out first as it has a big affect on how long batteries will last. My Browning Strike Force cameras are battery powered since they are in the forest where solar doesn't work. But if there will be full sun a solar panel can save on changing batteries. My non-wifi cameras easily go more than 6 months on battery so it's been an issue.

I've had 3 different ones over the past 10 years. I've pretty much been happy with all of them. Some better than others, but all were good.

I bought these December 2021.

I've been happy with them.
