My truck runs fine at an idle, but on the road it falters when accelerating. It doesnt want to take the gas,and sometimes backfires when accelerating. It seems to clear up if I let off the gas. I've already changed the fuel pump, high pressure pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and map sensor.

have you checked the ignition timing to make sure it is set on 10 degrees btdc usually when timing is slow it can backfire through the intake dont forget to unplug the spout connector before checking timing it will be near distributer.
also might have your exhaust checked for a restriction about any exhaust shop is capable of doing a pressure test to ensure your exhaust is flowing ok.
is this the original engine? i figured a 250 should have atleast a 351 or larger engine cant say i have ever saw one with a 302.
