heater core needs replace in a 92 dakota

I have a 92 dodge dakota and the heater core is bad. How hard is it to put in a new one myself or should i have it done at a shop. If i can do it myself how long/how is it done. Thanks.

if it has air conditioning i would suggest you take it to a shop if it doesnt have a/c and you decide to do it yourself i would give yourself plenty of time to do the job like a weekend or on a day off cause it will take awhile you may want to subscribe to alldata or buy a factory manual for more specific instructions on removal and installation of heater core, you can check the link below also for a rough description of removal of heater core.
