Angry 4x4 transmission repair

I have recently spent $2500.00 having my 98 ford ranger transmission rebuilt. Had some shifting problems and the overdrive would not engage two weeks later. The shop now says it is something in the wiring causing the selinoids not to work properly and want to charge me another $225.00 to repair this.

How do I know they are being honest and should I be charged again for another repair? Need a pros help!!!

It is possible that you were ripped off. With out being there it’s hard to tell you for sure. I would take it to a shop that offers “fee estimates” and see what they think. If they say your solenoids are bad have them changed. Really after the transmission is rebuilt there is really not a lot of recourse for repairs. That is why I always recommend getting a second opinion on major repairs.
