97 Chevy utility van 2500 problems

The other day going to work i made a sharp right hand turn and all of the sudden the power steering went and lost brakes can any one help thanks

Wow, that could be a lot of things. Did you have a belt break? Your breaks might have lost vacuum. Did your breaks and steering return or did they stay out? Your master cylinder/booster are right over the steering shaft, did you look for physical damage?

Your van doesn't have hydroboost for the brakes does it? For the rest of you - do any manufactures still use hydroboost?

Yes, GM still uses hydroboost on some vans.. Sounds like you hit this one right.. Look for powersteering hose blown..1 of the high pressure hoses sounds like the culprit...
