76' F150 t-signal

76 F-150 bought the truck and the T-signal lever is sloppy and won't stay up thus always have left sig on. So I replace the cam in the column. Now the lever stays in the middle but I lost the right rear t-sig. All other lights lights work, t-sig, 4-ways, brake. I'm still not happy with the way the lever works (still doesn't lock as postively in place as it should) but as far as I know the only way to replace the whole switch is to get one from a junk yard (have found a few that work like they should) and to do lots of splicing. Am I wrong about this? Or should I just splice into the front t-sig wires and run to an extra light at the rear and forget about it. FWIW has a home made flatbed on it and I've checked at the column and not getting power from the switch to light in the rear.
