RV tires

I just bought a 1978 Itasca RV and it has dual tires on the rear. I can't reach the valves because they are turned to the middle. Is there some trick to putting air in these and/or checking the pressure?

My Two Cents

Hello: marunr

Chances are the prior owner had them turned inwards to foil neighborhood pranksters from letting the air out of the tires. Just a guess but possible.

If you purchased the RV from a used vehicle dealer, have them face them outwards. If you purchased it privately, ask the prior owner why they face inwards. Might be another good reason.

Tire stores can also fix or turn them. Replace them with truck type metal stems.

after turning the tires around you may want to put on a set of valve extenders. They will allow you to add air the the inner tires from the outside tire position. Camping world sells them or maybe you might find a set on ebay.
