clutch repair?

I have a 1985 1/2 ton Chevy 4x4. The gears grind pretty badly when I attempt to shift in and out of gears. There is absolutely no friction when I step on the clutch pedal and it goes straight to the floor. Is this my clutch, or just my clutch mastercylinder? Please help.

CLUTCH

I WOULD SUGGEST TO TRY BLEEDING YOUR CLUTCH FIRST,,,,THE WAY I WOULD BLEED IT IS TO BACKWARDS BLEED IT....TAKE THE CAP OFF YOUR CLUTCH FLUID AND GET UNDERNEATH WITH A LITTLE METAL SQUIRT CAN AND A PIECE OF RUBBER HOSE FORCE IT ON THE TIP OF THE CAN AND OPEN THE BLEED VALVE AND FORCE THE RUBBER HOSE PUSH THE FLUID UP THAT WAY
