maybe this will help you

The best resource for these old trucks is to find a Motor manual in the library.

Old Motor manuals will have what he needs. You can find them at libraries, on Ebay, and at swapmeets.

In lieu of that, he should pick up the factory manual: www.helminc.com

Just be careful that if you buy a factory manual you are getting one with the wiring diagrams. Many of these older manuals are reprints now and the wiring diagrams aren't included, so be sure to ask .

Thanks, fordman30

Unfortunately, I went to the helminc site but they do not have what I needed for a 66 F100 truck. I did only a quick check and will check again more thouroughly when I have more time to do so. Again, thanks for the reply and helping. Sandi

hey sandi try these to se if they help

FM:

Here is one link that offers the manuals on CD-ROM and I'm sure there are plenty of other ones:

http://www.gearheadcafe.com/ford_truck_shop_manual.html

That was the first hit by typing in "1966 Ford Truck Shop Manual" in www.google.com

Good luck.

Angry Help!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1966 f100, the previous owner put in a 351C, well the steering linkage messed up, lost a clip where it connects to the tranny, but now i cant figure out how to get the tranny lined up with the steering column. My uncle said that when you disconnect the linkage from the column and push the tranny lever all the way to the front of the engine it's supposed to be in park, well..............yeah that didn't work. So if anyone knows please help.

wiring for taillights-'66 F100

I'm quite surprised at the response to this simple question. There are only 3 wires to the taillights for the early F100, green=right stop & turn, yellow=left stop & turn, brown=park lights.

Maybe, but if you notice, this question was asked and answered 5 years ago by people that are no longer even members of this board. The OP will not see your answer and perhaps no longer even has the car.
