Smile What is the best running & reliable (1) Ton Diesel Dump Truck on the Market?

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2004 "diesel" 1 ton Mason/Landscape style light/medium dump truck. I'd like to know what your opinions are on the GMC Duramax Diesel with the Allison Tranny. the Ford Diesel, or the Dodge Cummins motor. I'm looking for the most reliable and affordable truck.
Thanks,
Bones

i think the guys over at dieseltruckresource.com would have more information than you could ever use. from what i hear over there(and from people i know), the ford 6.0 is trouble from day one.

they would know more than me. (and search the archives there, even more info).

click on that address, it's interesting. the pictures of the connecting rods are neat too. and i think last year dodge sold it's 1 millionth cummins engine. they are completely reliable, as i often see them come in with over 200,000 miles on them.

the duramax is a heavy duty isuzu engine, which is actually a good thing, they've been doing it well for a long time.

drive all 3 and see which you like most.
