Question Tank sensors

Could someone explain (in detail) just how the sensors work in my black water holding tank? We have a new 5th wheel and the black water tank seems to always fill up (according to the indicator lights) too rapidily. When I empty the tank (everything seems to be operating O.K.) the indicator lights will not go out. Could the sensors be placed incorrectly? I plan to take it back to the dealer whenever I get a chance.

The best and easiest thing to do is to put a strip of black tape over the lights so that you can't see them. They seldom work properly.

Then, shut off your water pump, step down on the flusher, and with a flashlight, look down through the toilet. The answer is there. This system is foolproof.

You can also go to an RV dealer who can sell you some stuff that you dump in your holding tank that is supposed to clear up your light indicator problem, but don't count on it.

Using your flashlight is the best, and by far the cheapest solution.
