jay72chevy,

Whether it is difficult or not will depend on your engineering and welding skills.
I've worked on them before and am right now rebuilding a single axle camper undercarriage as a landscaping trailer.

The problem with camper frames is that they are designed to take the weight of the camper around the perimeter and use the camper itself to distribute the weight.
A car concentrates the weight in the center where as a camper, the heaviest middle load is a few people standing around.
Even if there are two 3500 lb axles I doubt that the main rails right up to and including the hitch will be strong enough and will need to be built up.

Unless you have a supply of steel and wood for the deck this will not be an inexpensive proposition.
