Acid Wash Aluminum Horse Trailer

I recently bought a used aluminum horse trailer, the dealer acid washed it and it looked great. I washed the roof with a mild phosphoric acid wash and afterwards the sides ( natural color ) had streaks. I have tried several different solutions of diluted Phosphoric Acid solutions from Home Depot and soap. I can not get the streaks out.

I would like to know if anyone has used a specific product or solution for washing their aluminum trailer. Please refrain from anecdotal advice. I would much prefer personal experience and specific instructions or products.

My direct email is [email protected] Thanks in advance.

I have used muriatic acid, but you have to mix it 4 to 1 and have the product in one hand and the sprayer in the other, otherwise you will make uneven patterns on the surface you are working on.
