It feels like there is some sort of restriction on the amount of power I can use when I floor it from a dead stop. When the truck is in PArk and I rev the engine it goes to about 4000 RPM then stays there and won't rev any faster. I'm assuming this is due to the engines program or some type of built-in safety feature. Whatever it is it really sucks. Is there any way to remove this apparent restriction? Anyone else with the same engine experience this?

yes it does have a rev limiter and while you may notice it in park you shouldnt notice it while driving unless you was shifting manual and holding it in low gear to long.
it is a v6 perhaps you should trade it in for a v8 if you want more power.
