1990-1993 Mazda B2200

Hey guys, considering purchasing a 1990-1993 Mazda B2200, 5-speed shortbox, regular cab.....

What kind of balls does this truck have? What horespower are we looking at? Torque? Can it tow boats? Haul sleds??

And fun stuff like, can she peel the tires? without dumping the clutch? what is top speed? what is power like?

this will be my first car, would this be a good choice?

Not much.
Average for a 4-cylinder.
Ditto.
Yes.
Possibly.
A lot faster than someone in their first vehicle needs.
Average for a 4-cylinder.

Mazda B-Series
Used model overview

Major redesign: 1994, 1998.
Drive wheels: Rear or part-time 4WD.
Related models: Ford Explorer Sport Trac, Ford Ranger.
Photo: 1998 model

Overview: This compact pickup is a Ford Ranger with a Mazda nameplate and minor exterior differences. The ride is stiff and choppy, but the steering is relatively responsive. An extended cab is a worthwhile option, providing extra interior room for luggage; however, even children won't be happy in the small jump seats. The 1998 redesign brought a four-door extended-cab model. Handling is relatively good, but the ride hasn't changed.

Safety equipment: Driver air bag standard; passenger side available in 1996-1997, standard from 1998. ABS available, standard from 2001. Safety-belt pretensioners standard from 2001.

Be sure to drive it REAL HARD and burn the tires at EVERY OPPORTUNITY!. Tow Guys love to see that; means we'll be able to afford that cruise next year.
