Need the procedure for replacing the bearings on the idler shaft, it is behind the clutch fan and pulley. It has four studs that bolt the pulley and clutch fan assy. It is part of an aluminum housing bolted to the engine block. Most people think it is the water pump which it is not!!! Does this housing need to be removed to change the bearings? Are these bearings pressed into the housing or retained by a C-clip of some sort.

Just thought I would enlighten anybody else having the same problem. Found out from the local chevy garage that this part is called a Fan Blade Bearing Assy. It is required to take off alt, clutch fan assy, ac pump, ps, and water pump. This can be ordered from chevy garage for $130.00 and is an assy.
