Question 1999 durango

99 durango, transmission is fine after it warms up. Has an automatic tranny, when it is cold shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, but doesn't want to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Bad tranny?, or something that can be fixed?

sounds like a servo is sticking in the cold try a fluid and filter exchange it may help if not trans shop may be able to clean up the affected servo

Typical Dodge trans with 2-3 upshift problem when cold.

The trans needs to come out and "soft overhaul", what you will find is a front clutch hub seals worn out which cause pressure leaks when 2-3 clutch applied, it's OK when warmed up.
