How to prevent rust on boltholes in truck bed?

Iím considering drilling holes in my pickup truck bed to bolt on some equipment. However, Iím concerned about the holes causing rust to form. Is there anything that can be used to prevent rust - e.g. coating the bolts?

Thanks!

You could always paint the edges of the hole you drilled. Or you could apply grease to the area.

Depends if you plan on removing those bolts often...

Use stainless steel bolts. Under the truck I would spray rust proofing over the bolts. You can buy some in a spray can.

In the truck, you could spray some rust primer and then some paint over the bolts and area of the bolts. But then that might look like crap. So you might want to try some silicon in the bed like some suggested.
