change fuel filter on 2001 ford ranger

I need to know location of fuel filter and if I need special tools to change it. fuel filter goes wacky at exactly every 25000 miles ...planned or coinsidence ?

I don't know the location of you fuel filter but most FI vehichles have the filter mounted along the frame rail. Shouldn't take any special tools but you may need to relieve the pressure off of the fuel system first.

should be on the frame right around trany no special tools just flat blade screw driver to remove locks and a wrench to remove the hold down not sure of bolt size maybe 10 or 13 mm watch out for pressure releave slowly you should releave pressure at shrader valve on engine
