Power steering pump noisy

My 1990 Ford Ranger runs fine but when I turn my steering it makes a noise I don't want to hear, it smooth when I make a turn though..
Question...Is there a product out that like an additive to make it a little more quite?, if so I would like to drain the old fluids out first, do I have to remove the pump to do so? How do I go about this
I would appreciate any answers I receive
I'm work on A\C's and heathing but when it come to cars and trucks well I don't know but how to put oil and gas... (smile)

Thanks

Kevin

They sell additives but I don't know if they work. The 2 things I would check first are #1 is there enough fluid in the resevoir #2 is belt tight?

I agree, ford are notorious for noise from steering pump, wouldn hurt to check
belt anyway for wear/thightening.
