Question waterproofing showerwall motorhome

just bought our first motorhome and the shower is looking a bit tired, we'ed like to paint the walls but should we paint over the origional wallpaper and what paint should we use , it needs to be completly waterproof as it will be inside the shower area. we also thought about using lino on the walls. Please help

Welcome to the forums

If you paint first use a solvent based primer as it will assure that the top coat will stick. Any enamel paint will repel water. Paint won't make it anymore water resistant than it is now, any cracks should be caulked to prevent moisture infiltration.
