fuel pump changeout

Is it hard to change a fuel pump on a 99 silverado?
I think it is on the fuel tank.

Yes the fuel pump is in the tank. The procedure is pretty easy. I have done them in about an hour. Of course I was able to raise the vehicle in the air rather than crawling under it to removethe tank. I have been told that it is possible to remove the bolts from the bed on the left side (depending on if your fuel tank is located on the left side, which im sure it is on this model) and loosening the bolts on the right side and raising the bed enough to access the pump. You should look out for tail light wiring and any other electrical connections as well as the fuel lines. Also disconnect the fill pipe from the bed before doing so.
Hope this is helpful to ya,

And, of course, keep all sources of ignition away while working.
