Ford Mustang radio, 67-69 ?

I'm trying to bench test this radio that my son removed from his Mustang back in the 70's...I have 2 wires associated with the dial lamp, one gnd the other goes to the bulb, 2 black wires that I assume are speaker wires & the co-ax for the antenna, what am I missing here??? How is this thing powered ???

are you making sure the radio case is grounded as most older radios were always grounded through the case.

1991 Chevy S-10 Pick up mistery black box

Hi, My brother gave me his old 1991 S-10 Pick up. While I was looking under the hood, I discovered a black rectangular box with both connectors disconnected. It seemed to be an electronic box and it was to the right of the master cylinder. The truck runs fine so I am hesistant to put the connectors back. My brother does not know why it was disconnected. Can any one tell me what it is and should I reconnect the two connectors? I have to smog the truck in a few weeks and this box might affect the result. Thanks.
