94 dak trans leak
HI all i have a 94 dakota 4wd 318 auto trans had transfer case redone rear trans seal was leaking as well. even after x case rebuild dont think they replaced the rear seal .took it back they replaced the rear trans seal a week later its leaking again .question is there any other reason for it to leak again like a bad casing or is it just a bad seal .. thanks ..

Barring previous damage, the case would low on the list of suspect items. With the continued leakage I would look at the rear bearing/bushing on the transmission. Excessive wear there wouldn't allow the seal to do its job.
Also I would check the transmission venting for obstruction. A plugged vent would allow pressure to build up in the transmission and force fluid past an otherwise good seal.
