accelerator sticking

I have a 2000 Chevy p/u Z71 The accelerator has a catch when I start to push down on it. This has happened before and the dealership said that they cleaned a carbon build-up on the throttle body some where. Can anyone help me with this ? I dont want to go back to the dealer. Thanks

remove the hose that goes from air cleaner to throtal body get some air intake cleaner and a cloth spray cleaner in throtal body and wipe out have someone hold accelerator down and spray the plate and inside wipe plate on both sides and where plate closes put hose back on than run engine vehicle may be hard to start at first due to the cleaner but it will start and be fine after that
