compression test 94 dakota

HI I have just done a comp test on my 5.2l just wondering what you think of these # lowest 150 to 165 test done with wide open throttle truck seams to be using oil ..thanks

i wouldent complaine abut those numbers when dose it burn most on start up if so valve seals may be problem

165 is pretty low about 180 is good. Sounds like a high mileage engine. Good thing is all cylynders are about even. 165 is normal for a worn engine.

Thanks for reply it has 165.000 km seams to puff some smoke at start up so im thinking valve seals. truck must have been a tow vehicle looks like it had a fifth wheel on it didnt notice that before i bought it ......
