windshield wiper polarity 90 ranger
i just put in a new wiper motor in a 90 ford ranger. i checked it before installing it by plugging in the plug and touching the case to ground to make sure it worked as the removal was tough. the motor worked fine so i was ready to install and noticed this warning not to do what i just did or the polarity would be reversed. after installing it, the wipers stop in the vertical position, not horizontal. reinstalling the blades do not solve the problem as they want to go down onto the hood. Do i just reinstall with the motor crank 180 off or do i have to do something to reverse the polarity? i am not really sure if the polarity has anything at all to do with the vertical park position. thanks for your help

I don't know the answer to your question but it is hard to get the polarity wrong on an automobile. Usually sparks fly and fuses blow.
