2000 F-150 Temperature Sensor

The truck is a 2000, F-150, 5.4 L, 4x4. "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Both Auto Zone & Advance Auto Parts have read the computer code & say the engine is not warming up fast enough. Thermostat seems OK since the temp gauge responds & I get heat as normal. I suspect a temperature sensor but cannot find it on the block. Anyone know where it is?

Usually the temp sensor is located near or underneither the intake manifold.

What was the exact codes from the OBDII reading?

The temp gauge and the thermostat are not in the same loop. The temp gauge reads off the coolant temp sensor.

Codes

Honestly, I don't remember the code number but for some reason I want to say 33. Don't take that as gospel. I may be thinking of the fault code for a furnace I worked on the other day.

I had been told there were two sensors. One is for the gauge & the other strictly for the computer. The one I got is for the computer since the gauge seems to work fine.
