HELP ... installing electronic brake controller

HELP.... I am attempting to install an electronic brake controller for the electric brakes on my trailer. I can't find the "cold side of vehicle’s brake switch". The vehicle is a 1999 GMC Jimmy. Any one know exactly which wire. I tried to measure with a voltmeter but no luck. Thanks

Not sure what the instructions say, but the 'cold' side usually refers to ground, and any metal part of the body or frame will give you that.

brae controller

vehicle has to be pre wired for electric brake controller install, either you can do it or the guys at uhaul will take care of it for a fee, to include a 7 way pin connector next to hitch receiver, with or without trailer batt feed wire

check the wires at the brake switch with a test lamp one will be live all the time (hot) the other will only be live when peddel is depresed (cold)
