cabin air filter

2004 GMC sierra, 4x4, AC. My manual says truck may,or may not have a cabin air filter. If there is one i'd like to change it. Any Chev/GMC truckers out there know ? Where it is,and how to change if there is one? Thanks

I checked the Purolator site and they also say maybe you do and maybe you don't.

On many passenger cars, it is located behind the glove box. I guess that you could pull the box and look. Or, you could have a dealer run your VIN on his computer. It should be able to give you all the "build" information, including whether it has a cabin filter.

Thanks for the rely. I changed the filter in my car and thought i'd check the truck to. I was surprised that GM would state something like "maybe, maybe not".

well,i checked my manual again in the section that lists replacement parts like plugs, air filter, oil filter, etc, and there is no mention of a cabin air filter. I take that to mean, there isn't one.
