'88 Ford F150 power windows

My regulator for my driver side power window is shot. It died with the window rolled half way down. Is there a way to raise the window to a closed position and lock it in place temporarily. At least until I have a chance to get the regulator switched out. Thanks for any help. (Please note I really don't know much about cars but I can follow directions.)

well you can try an bang on the door by the motor while pushing window up butten sometimes works
if not than window lift motor needs to be removed to lift window by hand than replaced so it will not fall or just install new one and than no more problem

Thanks, I was sure if I should remove that motor or not. I didn't want to remove anything without first knowing it would work. Thanks again.
