Blown Spark Plug

Blown Spark Plug

Was driving my 2002 f150 when I heard a ticking sound then Bang,Blew spark plug right out of hole,Anyone ever here of this befor and is their a easy fix??

I've seen before a couple of times. If the threads aren't damaged just install a new plug and torque it down properly.

Also check the others to make sure they aren't loose.

Not with this particular vehicle but yes, I have seen it before.

and is their a easy fix??
Sometimes. If it is as marbobj suggested, simply replace the plug involved. If the threads are damaged, they are repairable. It is best to remove the head to do so but I have also repaired with head in place. Some are easier to get at than others so that makes a difference. A Heli-Coil is used to repair the threads but there are precautions to prevent the shavings that are produced from heading into the cylinder.
