Leaking coolant line - Ford E350

My 1999 Ford E350 15 passenger van has developed a leak in the coolant line going to the rear heater. The leak is on the driver side, in front of the rear axel, and above the leaf springs. The rest of the line also appears to be in bad shape. The garage I took it to says the the whole body needs to be removed in order to replace the line. Is there an easier, and cheaper, way to correct this problem? Thanks.

leak coolant line

yes there is find the start of the line is this rubber like the rad.hose if so install new hose from the start line to the openiing of the heater core im thinking that it might be on the underside of the van install clamps at those points to keep it from leaking and install this on the van underside with brackets to hold the new hose up and out of the way so s not to be dislodged at any time while driving the van hope this helps

Prefabed line

I checked with Ford and your plan will work. Actually Ford has a prefabed replacement line for sale for $ 220.00. Absurdly priced, but it will make the job easier. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for your help.
