Tilt or gate trailer

I am looking to buy a utility trailer primarily for hauling an ATV. One size I am considering is a 6.5' by 10'. I am unsure whether to get one with a gate or a tilt bed. Can someone familiar with these explain the pro's and con's of them?

The only problem I would see with the tilt bed is the weight needed for forward rotation. If your engine is in the rear, once you load the ATV, all the weight is still back behind the wheel, and it may not rotate downward. With the gate, you won't have that problem.

the gate will be more usefull for other things besides hauling a 4 wheeler. the problem with tilt beds are getting the weight transfer in the right spot to be able to tilt them when you want.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies
